Metal Jacketing

Jacketing is the protective outer surface for
mechanical insulation systems, including
pipes, vessels, and equipment – protecting
the insulation and underling pipe, vessel, or
equipment from physical damage, UV
exposure, corrosive environments, and water.

Moisture Barrier Options

Pre-painted Type II moisture barrier is used for corrosion and chemical resistance.

Coils are pre-painted as follows:
Top side - is a clear polyester applied in two coats.
Bottom side/moisture barrier - is a blue tinted polyester applied in two coats.

All painted jacketing has an emittance factor in the 0.8 range, which gives a significantly lower surface temperature as compared to conventional aluminum jacketing.
Surlyn consists of a 3mil thickness three-layer co-extrusion of polyethylene which is heat laminated.
